BREC's Baton Rouge Zoo Shines Bright with Zoo Lights

East Baton Rouge Parish– BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo, is gearing up to illuminate the holiday season with its enchanting Zoo Lights event, proudly presented by Our Lady of the Lake Children's Health. This year, the light display will be different than years past, promising a fresh and unique experience that will dazzle and captivate visitors of all ages.

Starting on Friday, November 24 and continuing through December 30, the Baton Rouge Zoo will be aglow every night from 5:30 to 8:00 pm (closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day). As the sun sets, the magic begins, with the zoo's picturesque landscape adorned in thousands of twinkling lights, creating a festive atmosphere to bring joy to you and your family’s holiday season.

Fridays and Saturdays during Zoo Lights are extra special, as jolly old St. Nick himself will be taking a break from his busy workshop to join the festivities at the Zoo’s Otter Cabin. Families are invited to meet and greet Santa Claus, share their holiday wishes, and snap a photo to capture the moment. It's the perfect opportunity for children of all ages to ensure they're on the "nice" list this year!

This year's Zoo Lights is made even brighter by the generous support of Our Lady of the Lake Children's Health, a beacon of health and well-being in our community. Their commitment to the well-being of our youngest residents aligns perfectly with the joyous spirit of the holiday season.

In addition to Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health, Zoo Lights is sponsored by Visit Baton Rouge, Window World, Dependable Storage, LUBA Workers’ Comp, Gallagher, The Advocate, The Eagle 98.1, 100.7 The Tiger, and Baton Rouge Parents.
