ZIPPITY ZOO FEST
At Zippity, we celebrate the day the Zoo first opened its gates in 1970! Guests enjoy celebrations and a family day at the Zoo! Traditionally, this event is held the first weekend in April.
ROAR + POUR (FORMERLY WILD WINE WALK)
Roar and Pour is an after-hours, adults-only event at BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo, offering live music, liquor and wine tastings with the unique experience of exploring the Zoo at night. This event is held in the Spring.
DREAMNIGHT AT THE ZOO
More than 100 Zoos worldwide host Dreamnight for children dealing with cancer and their families. The Baton Rouge Zoo is the first zoo in Louisiana to host this special event. This invitation-only evening event is held in June.
BREW AT THE ZOO
Baton Rouge Zoo Foundation's newest and hottest event! This sell-out event offers beer tasting, food tasting, live music, and animal encounters for those over 21. This event is held in the Fall.
BOO AT THE ZOO
The Zoo invites you to join us for Boo at the Zoo, a merry-not-scary Halloween extravaganza. Traditionally, this event is held the last two weekends in October.
RUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE
Rumble in the Jungle is BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo’s annual fall fundraiser and car show, featuring classic and custom vehicles, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and special Zoo experiences. Proceeds support the Zoo’s conservation, education, and animal care efforts. This even is the late Fall.
ZOOLIGHTS
With thousands of lights, animated sculptures, and refreshments, this event is fun for the entire family and is sure to become a holiday tradition. Zoo Lights begins the Friday after Thanksgiving and ends on December 30.
