2nd Annual Art for Animals Festival at Baton Rouge Zoo: Calling Artists to Support Wildlife Conservation
BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo is excited to announce the second annual Art for Animals Festival, a unique event that combines creativity with a commitment to wildlife conservation. The festival will run from Feb. 3 through May 9, 2025, featuring a juried art exhibition celebrating animals and their habitats, with a festival and closing reception/awards ceremony on May 3, 2025.
Artists aged 14 and older were invited to submit their original works for consideration from September - December 2024.
Important Dates:
- Dec. 10, 2024 – January 2025: Artist selection
- Feb. 3 – May 9, 2025: Exhibition on display in the Atrium, inside the new Zoo entrance / Monday - Friday 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- May 3, 2025: Festival (on the zoo grounds) 9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. / Closing reception and awards ceremony (inside atrium) 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
- May 9, 2025: Final day of the exhibition
