It's BREC's Baton Rouge Zoo's 54th Birthday!
BREC's Baton Rouge Zoo will hold its annual spring festival, Zippity Zoo Fest. Celebrate the Zoo's 54th Birthday this year!!! We’ll have a Children's Village, education stations, a food court, and animal encounters.
9:30 am—5:00 pm, Grounds close 6:00 pm
Adult admission: $8.75
Senior admission: $7.75
Child admission: $5.75
Entertainment
Join in the festivities by having your face painted! Then enjoy the talents of community groups from across the area who have come out to celebrate the zoo. We may even have some characters stop by throughout the weekend for meet-and-greet opportunities!

Hear from our Zoo Keepers, ask questions, and learn how we care for our animals daily. Watch our animals enjoy a special Zoo birthday treat at select Keeper Chats!
AAZK Booth
Visit the Baton Rouge Chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK). This year at Zippity, AAZK is raising funds for conservation. Visit to talk with our Zoo Keepers to learn about the amazing things they do for philanthropy projects, continuing education, and professional development.
