Join us for a day of fun and festivities as we celebrate the grand opening of BREC'S Baton Rouge Zoo and Greenwood Community Park!
Schedule of Events:
- Zoo Entry Building Ribbon Cutting: 10:30 AM
- Be among the first 70 visitors to receive a free Zoo pass!
- Enjoy live music, character appearances, and a photo booth from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
- Please note, the zoo entrance is moving from the old address off Thomas Road to the new location at 3000 Zoo Circle via 13350 Highway 19, Baker, opening on October 5th. Make sure to use the new entry point for all future visits starting on October 5th.
- Bayou Promenade Ribbon Cutting: 1:30 PM
- Experience performances, interactive activities, and food truck delights from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM.
- Greenwood Community Park Adventure Playground Ribbon Cutting: 4:30 PM
- Participate in a mock ribbon-cutting ceremony, enjoy live music, and engage in interactive entertainment from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
