Red Swamp Crawfish
This species has been introduced throughout the US, probably through the pet trade, commercial aquaculture, or as bait for fishing. It is considered to be the most invasive crawfish species and can outcompete native species. This crawfish has a high tolerance for a wide range of environmental conditions and can withstand drought and pollution.
