Lion-Tailed Macaque

This primate rarely leaves the trees and gets the water it needs by licking moisture that collects on leaves.

When foraging for food the lion-tailed macaque will gather food as fast as possible and stuff it into its cheek pouches. It can then retreat to a safe place to eat what it has gathered. The cheek pouches can hold the same amount of food as the stomach.
