Black-Tailed Prairie Dog
Prairie dogs issue different sounds identifying various predators, which include hawks, owls, eagles, ravens, coyotes, badgers, ferrets and snakes.
Prairie dogs live in "towns" which are divided into neighborhoods called "wards." Within these wards are family burrows known as "coteries."
