Volunteer for Pollinator Day | May 16
Cox Communications is partnering with BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo for a hands-on Pollinator Day focused on protecting native species and strengthening natural habitats across South Louisiana.
The event brings the community to the zoo for an interactive day focused on pollinators like bees and monarch butterflies, which play a critical role in sustaining healthy ecosystems and local food systems.
Attendees will engage in hands-on activities, including pollination stations and monarch garden projects, along with zookeeper chats and animal ambassador encounters featuring endangered and critically endangered species.
“This work connects people to something bigger than a simple day at the zoo, “ said Erin Monroe, market vice president of Cox Communications. ” When people understand the role pollinators play, they see how small actions can create lasting impact across our communities."
To extend the experience, Cox Mobile is offering the community the chance to access zoo experiences at its retail locations from April 23rd through May 16th. Individuals who visit participating Cox Solutions stores can enter to win zoo prize packages, including Family 4 Packs and tickets to their fall 21+ fundraiser, The Wild Pour.
