Get Ready to Celebrate Mardi Gras with Krewe de Zoo!
EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH — Let the good times roll at the zoo this Mardi Gras season!
Krewe de Zoo, a unique and exciting program, will run from January 6 through Mardi Gras Day, bringing festive fun and a chance to support the animals in style.
Guests can join the celebration by purchasing colorful hang tags featuring one of our star animals – a pygmy hippo, an alligator, or a flamingo – all enjoying some Mardi Gras flair! The tags are available in traditional Mardi Gras colors: purple, green, and gold. Each tag is a small token of support, priced at $1, $3, or $5.
How It Works:
• Purchase tags at our ticket booths, gift shop, or online. Purchase online here.
• Hang tags will be proudly displayed on the windows of the zoo’s administration building, showcasing the community’s generosity and festive spirit.
As a grand finale to the Mardi Gras season, our three featured animals will enjoy a special Mardi Gras-themed activity or treat, giving everyone a reason to cheer and celebrate!
