BREC's Baton Rouge Zoo to Host Private Dreamnight Event

BATON ROUGE, LA.— On Friday, June 2nd, more than 100 zoos world-wide host Dreamnight, which is a private, invitation-only event for children impacted by pediatric cancer and their families. The Baton Rouge Zoo is the first zoo in Louisiana to host this special event. The Zoo, along with its partners, is honored to host an event that enables these children & their families to experience an evening of pure fun at no cost, presenting a chance to escape their current struggles.

This year’s event is presented by BASF and supported by Cancer Services of Baton Rouge, Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital, Coca Cola Bottling, and Red River Bank. Children and their families will be a part of the Zoo after-hours and experience special animal chats, face painting, dinner, ice cream plus special meet and greets with princesses and dinosaurs, courtesy of the Petite Princess Co and The Dinosaur Experience.

“What could be more exciting than a private evening of learning and fun with the animals?” said Jim Fleshman, Zoo Director. “Dreamnight is always a privilege to host. The attendees touch our hearts year after year, and we are so thankful to have the opportunity to host such a worthwhile and special event.”

NOTE: Media are invited to capture images or footage of the event. This is NOT for the general public. It is by invitation only
