Get Ready for a Fa-BOO-lous Adventure at BREC's Baton Rouge Zoo's "Boo at the Zoo"!

BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo is thrilled to announce the return of the beloved family-friendly Halloween event, "Boo at the Zoo," presented by Hancock Whitney.

Highlights of Boo at the Zoo 2024 include:

  • Festive Photo Opps: Our beloved Halloween and fall-themed hand-painted displays will be back up throughout the zoo for families to capture new memories.
  • Princess Character Meet and Greets: Each day from 12 to 2 p.m., children and families can meet a few of their favorite princess characters in a fairytale setting. Be prepared for enchanting moments and perfect photo opportunities.
  • Entertainment at the Capital One Pavilion: The Capital One Pavilion offers kids entertainment, including a show by The Dinosaur Experience and more.
  • Animal Enrichments: Many zoo animals will have special Halloween-themed enrichments, a great chance to observe their playful and curious behaviors.
  • Pumpkin Patch and Treats: Every child aged 12 and under will receive a mini pumpkin from our pumpkin patch and a Halloween treat bag!
  • Costume Extravaganza: To fully embrace the Halloween spirit, all visitors are encouraged to wear their spookiest, silliest, or most creative Halloween costumes. Tag the zoo in your Facebook and Instagram photos to be featured on our pages.

Food and refreshments will be available for purchase at the Flamingo Café and the Boo at the Zoo food court, including Cajun favorites, jambalaya, gumbo, and boudin by Rice and Roux and a variety of delicious funnel cakes from the Funnel Factory.
