BREC's Baton Rouge Zoo

Join us for Southern University Day at the Zoo and witness the public debut of Lacumba III, BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo’s newest jaguar cub! Named after Southern University’s historic mascot, Lacumba III marks the zoo’s first jaguar birth since the 1990s and is an essential addition to the Jaguar Species Survival Plan (SSP).

Dignitary Remarks: 9:30 a.m. at the Jaguar exhibit
Exclusive Early Access: Southern University students, alumni, and faculty can enter at 9:00 a.m. with a valid ID
Discounted Admission: $3 for Southern University attendees with ID
